• We start with a strategy meeting with key staff and stakeholders. We want to learn about your business and desired CMMC level by discussing your existing IT systems, business needs, potential risks, and opportunities to maintain and grow your DoD relationships.

Conduct an Assessment/SSP/POAM

• After the consultation, the first technical step is to conduct a detailed assessment of your current environment.  A system security plan (SSP) will be created to document the security measures that need to be put in place.  A Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) will outline the actions needed to achieve compliance.  SimplifIT provides options to conduct assessments for you or with you.  We also created a proprietary self-assessment tool that allows you to manage the process internally.

Remediation

• The next step is to address the gaps found in the POA&M.  This could be as simple as making simple changes or as complex as a systems overhaul.

Compliance Monitoring & Support

• Finally, ongoing cybersecurity monitoring and support is provided by SimplifIT.  Support is vital to CMMC as incidents must be reported to DoD within 72 hours, and all systems and controls must be constantly maintained and assessed to remain compliant.
